The Lifeline Society
Your monthly gift becomes part of a community that shows up every month.
Founding Members
Be here at the beginning.
The Lifeline Society is just getting started, and we’d love for you to be part of its beginning.
Everyone who joins between October 2nd and December 31st will be recognized as a Founding Member of the Lifeline Society.
There’s no minimum gift and no special giving level. Being a Founder isn’t about how much you give. It’s about being one of the people who said:
I’m in. I want to help make sure BCRC is there.
Together, our Founding Members will create the community at the heart of the Lifeline Society and help build something BCRC can count on for years to come.
You were here at the beginning.
Why monthly
Breast cancer doesn’t end when October does.
October brings a lot of attention to breast cancer. And that matters.
But breast cancer is there every month.
It’s there when someone is sitting in the car after an appointment trying to make sense of what they just heard. When treatment plans change. When treatment ends and everyone else seems ready to move on. When a new question comes up six months later. And if breast cancer comes back.
Those are the moments when knowing where to turn matters.
BCRC is still here.
Month after month. Question after question.
Sometimes someone needs help understanding what comes next.
Sometimes they need a resource they didn’t know existed.
Sometimes they need to talk with someone who understands the breast cancer experience.
And sometimes they just need to know they’re not doing this by themselves.
And this is where you come in.
When you give monthly, your gift joins the gifts of other Lifeline Society members to create something BCRC can count on throughout the year.
Not just in October.
Not just at diagnosis.
But whenever someone reaches out and says, “I don’t know what to do next.”
That’s the lifeline.
Membership
This is more than a monthly gift. It’s a community.
The Lifeline Society brings together people who share one simple belief:
No one should have to navigate breast cancer alone.
Some Lifeliners give $10 a month. Some give $25, $50, $100 or more.
There isn’t a “right” amount.
What matters is that we’re doing it together.
Different gifts. One community. One lifeline.
Together, Lifeliners help make possible:
- A trusted place to turn when someone doesn’t know what comes next.
- Patient Navigators who listen, guide and help make the path forward clearer.
- Connections to information, resources and community throughout the breast cancer experience.
- A BCRC that keeps showing up, month after month and year after year.
Meet the lifeline
Sometimes the most important thing is knowing who to call.
Breast cancer comes with questions no one expects to have to ask.
What does this mean?
What happens next?
How do I tell my family?
Is this normal?
Where do I even begin?
At BCRC, you don’t have to know all the answers before you call.
You just need to know you can call.
A Patient Navigator will meet you where you are, help you sort through what comes next and connect you with the information, resources and community you need.
And if another question comes tomorrow, next month or next year?
BCRC is still here.
That’s what your monthly gift helps protect: the promise that when someone needs a lifeline, there is one.
“My breast cancer journey was one of the hardest experiences of my life. The Breast Cancer Resource Center gave me support, hope, and a sense that I wasn’t alone. Their compassion and resources helped me navigate my journey and find strength along the way.”

Meet the community
Meet the Lifeliners.
There are lots of reasons people choose to become Lifeliners.
For some, BCRC was there during their own breast cancer experience. For others, it was there for someone they love. And some simply want to make sure this community is here for whoever needs it next.
What brings them together is simple:
BCRC was there. Now, they’re choosing to be there for someone else.
“BCRC was there for me, and I want to be there for the next person. When people give monthly together, it creates a steady source of support BCRC can count on.”
Tammy Benter
Board Member, former Board Chair and former BCRC client
“BCRC played a huge part in providing support to me as I went through my treatment and recovery. Donating monthly is a simple way for me to give back and show my gratitude.”
