Amplify Austin

As of January 2019 we experienced a $300,000 deficit to our organization. This was an annual grant we’ve received for many years that has assisted in supporting our programs so they are FREE of charge for our clients. Because of this, our goal is to raise a minimum of $20,000 to meet the need of continuing to fund our Patient Navigators.

For more than 20 years the women of BCRC have been dedicated to supporting and improving the lives of those touched by breast cancer. Our Patient Navigators are an amazing group of six women who are all survivors themselves, they are the backbone to our organization. Our Patient Navigators navigate our clients throughout their entire breast cancer diagnosis; ranging from the newly diagnosed, to currently living with cancer, to post treatment, no matter what their circumstances may be. Because of our generous donors, our services are provided free of charge to anyone affected by breast cancer, regardless of income, ethnicity, level of education, sexual orientation, or social support.

In 2018:

–          Our Patient Navigators spent 10,346 hours navigating women and their caregivers through guidance, education and assistance.

–          1,748 individuals and families were impacted by BCRC programs.

–          13,340 needs were overcome with the help of a BCRC Patient Navigator / 13,988 needs were expressed by our clients = 95% of problems solved and questions answered.

–          We had 2,013 attendees who participated in BCRC’s support circles and highly active private online forums, which are facilitated or monitored by BCRC patient navigators.

Will you help us reach our $20,000 goal so we can continue to offer our clients support FREE of charge? Your gifts during the Amplify Austin campaign will give the gift of navigation to the next woman who hears those life-changing words….”you have breast cancer.”
