Here for this night’s blog spotlight, Lesya Langevin, owner and principle designer of Zuki Fur, has definitely raised the ante with this amazing piece of wearable art! Unquestionably talented and unique, Lesya is an internationally known Canadian fashion designer and business leader. She is the woman behind both Chato Mode and Zuki of Canada, and is renowned for her designer attire using leather and fur with intricate designs,

Lesya started designing, sewing, and pattern making at a very young age. She immigrated from Ukraine to Canada in 2004, and upon arriving in Canada, she started to design her own line of fashion products using recycled furs and leather. Lesya has a predilection for European fashion, which she adapts to the north American climate. She presents new collections on the runway every year for her brand CHATO MODE. Owner of a furrier store with international demand since 2014, Lesya was handed the reigns of Zuki, the acclaimed international fur manufacturer, in 2015, when Zuki Balaila and his wife Betty decided to retire. She is now the company’s principal designer and has since imprinted her European style to the Zuki brand, which continues the trademark of distinct brilliance. Zuki is based in Montreal and fabricate for worldwide exportation the best furs

Zuki of Canada came to Art Bra® Austin through BCRC client and Art Bra Model, Susan Ribnick, whose brother owns Ribnick Luxury Furs and outerwear in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Bill Ribnick has had a long-standing relationship with Zuki of Canada and through this connection, Zuki of Canada commissioned the amazingly beautiful beaver fur bra in Susan’s honor.

This luxurious piece is titled “Hands on the Merchandise” and is made of first quality 1/4″ sheared beaver fur, dyed in pure black with red intarsia, accompanied by 100% Italian suede lining. The bra is embellished with Swarovsky crystals on both sides. Made in Canada by Zuki of course! This stunning piece is co-sponsored with Bill Ribnick of Ribnick Luxury Outerwear.

Come see for yourself this one of kind, first ever-sheared beaver piece for our Art Bra® Austin event!

Approximately 60 to 70 pieces are selected from over 100 submissions to be offered for auction the night of the event. Top submissions are auctioned live during the runway show with winning bids as high as $8,500. For more information about this event and how to get involved, please visit
